TOP10 October 2008

October 24th, 2008

Here is my TOP10 for October, little late I admit… It’s not the selection of the last trendy uplifting trance releases, but who cares? It’s just the music I like, my personal selection of what I listen at the moment. There’s nothing new at all, most of these tracks are coming from another era… But you will find here some outstanding piece of art – something which is becoming more and more rare today – sadly.

You might not now all these tracks depending of your musical influences, so it might be a good occasion to discover some new sounds.

They all used to - and are still - making me dream. The first one from Edward Grieg is simply my favourite song ever, I never heard better. I have also some very particular feelings about You’re Not Alone from ATB. When it gets released initially I thought that this is just some creepy remix of Olive (the original artist). It took my years to understand this track, ATB did very well, he took things far further than the original one, adding a deeper and emotional dimension – with simplicity – just a few chords for so much meaning…

1. Edward Grieg - La mort d’Ase
2. Chopin - Raindrop / Prelude in D flat major
3. Within Tempation - Jillian
4. ATB - You are not alone
5. Tomcraft - Loneliness (Club Cut)
6. Infected Mushrooms - Converting vegetarians
7. Sylver - Forgiven
8. Vanilla Ninja - Liar
9. Jeckyll and Hyde - Frozen Flames
10. BT vs Sasha ft. Jan Johnston - Remember Magnetic North
